Food is Medicine

Food means many things to many people but essentially for the body instead of you, — So food is something that’s important to all of us.

In the right ways fueling your body will definitely prevent you from medicine and doctors, (The old saying is, “an apple in a day keeps the doctors away”). We become in the stage which clearly expresses in the above snap. I’m not saying that you have to eat this way and that way, just experiment and see.

Tonight if you go instead of eating whatever cooked food, just eat fruits and see tomorrow morning you will not need an alarm bell, you will wake up before the alarm bell and you will see all these eyes will not be sticking like this like that you wake up instantly or bright and alert people do not know what it means to be at absolute ease within their body.

We eat every day, it’s part of our culture.

It’s what makes us happy.

But it’s also incredibly important for our health and research at Tufts and elsewhere has shown that food is now the number one cause of poor health on the planet.

Everybody kind of has this uneasy feeling now that our food system is making them sick, and they’re right.

And so 20 years ago, the evidence wasn’t that clear, but now the evidence is so clear with Type-2 diabetes and obesity, many cancers, cardiovascular disease, brain health or gut microbiome, how powerful food is.

The idea of food as medicine is to leverage the power of food, the power of healthy eating, to actually improve health.

And not only improve health but save dollars.

Instead of your doctor writing for you to get a fancy drug or an expensive procedure, they actually write for you to get food at the supermarket.

That could be things like fruits and vegetables.

It could be things like whole grains or beans.

It could even be things like fish or healthy cooking oils.

And this goes back to the ideas that have been popularized by Hippocrates,

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
